Is it safe to say that Joe Biden has won the presidency since there's just 1 week left and Bidens lead over trump grows to 12 points?

Its his biggest lead yet

I am resigned to a Biden win. It looks very likely. Biden will lock down the nation and shut down the economy due to COVID-19. Our children will have to stay home from school for another year or so, at least.

After Biden wins, we'll just resign ourselves to having high taxation, a stagnant economy, sky high energy prices, and plenty of Latino and Muslim illegal aliens around. And lots of government free stuff being handed out. That's what the voters prefer.

There's only been three polls since the debate and Biden is down in all three including losing in one of them.

The average of the three is Biden +4 Which is within the margin of error and probably not enough to win.

Remember Biden himself said that Trump is doing better than the polls say

Also, Hillary had a 12 point lead at this point.

You can say it, but it's not safe.  Hillary lost because too many Democrats figured she had it in the bag, so they didn't need to bother to vote.  That could very easily happen again this time.

Never underestimate the GOP's ability/propensity for cheating.  These people have no scruples at all when it comes to fairness in elections.  There's nothing to stop them.  Both parties have emasculated the Federal Election Commission, so it's not really able to stop cheating.  Consequently, to beat the GOP at all, the Dems have to beat them by five or six or seven points.

It is not safe to say it. Polls are meaningless if voters get so overconfident their side will win that they don't bother to show up and actually vote. Additionally, reputable polls are not showing that much of a lead among LIKELY voters. Lastly, because of the Electoral College national polls are meaningless. A person can get fewer votes and still win the election. The George Bush and Donald Trump presidencies prove that.

It's more like 8 points but I agree with you. The polls would have to be overwhelmingly wrong. This election is a blue wave similar to 2008.
